Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to believe in anything or be spiritual?

No. For years, I thought working with energy was nonsense and was firmly rooted in science and logic. You do not need any belief or prior experience – only a willingness to be open to the experience.

Do I have to talk about my problems?

No. Unlike talk-based approaches, you do not have to describe, explain, or analyse anything – your body reveals what is ready to release. You are welcome to share whatever you wish, but you do not have to. Anything you tell me will, of course, remain confidential.

What about touch? Do I remain clothed?

You remain fully clothed throughout the session. Touch is always over your clothing and consists of gently and mindfully placing my hands on your body. I never touch intimate areas, the buttocks, or the chest area for women.

At the beginning of our first session, we will discuss touch in detail. You can also identify any additional areas of your body that you do not want me to touch.

Your feeling safe and comfortable throughout the session is my highest priority, as this is essential for you to be able to open to the process. I therefore expressly ask you to tell me immediately if any touch feels uncomfortable or no longer feels right. You can decline or stop any touch at any time, or withdraw consent that you previously gave. You do not need to explain or justify your decision.

What will I feel?

The experience can range from subtle to very intense and depends largely on how fully you can surrender to the process. Common experiences include warmth, tingling, or flowing sensations in the body, emotions arising, involuntary movements, or an impulse to cry or make sounds. Afterwards, most people report lightness and deep calm; some experience states of quiet bliss. Every session is different.

Why does my body move or shake? Why do such strong emotions arise?

Trembling, twitching, yawning, sighing, crying, shouting, or spontaneous movements are ways in which bound energy can release. In the yogic tradition, these involuntary movements are known as kriyas. They are not unwanted side effects, but part of the process.

What if I do not feel anything?

That can happen too. In my experience, there is often a deeply ingrained layer of physical armouring beneath it: chronic tension the body has used to hold back emotions for years. The energy first works through this tension before the emotions underneath can be felt again. People who control much of their experience through the mind sometimes need time to reconnect with their body. The intensity of a session is therefore not a measure of its depth. Conscious bodywork between sessions can support this process.

Can it become too intense? Am I in control?

The process can become physically and emotionally very intense. At the same time, your system releases only as much as you can handle at any given moment. You remain in control throughout: you can decline any touch, slow the process down, or end the session.

Can I temporarily feel worse after a session?

This can happen, and it is not a setback. Once one layer has released, what lay beneath it can rise to the surface. In the days after a session, further emotions may arise; you may feel more open or tired, or experience more vivid dreams. This is the process continuing to unfold. Give yourself time to rest, drink plenty of water, and allow it to flow instead of holding on to it. If any symptoms persist, please seek medical advice.

How many sessions will I need?

That is different for everyone. This work is like peeling an onion: what has accumulated over years releases layer by layer, not all at once. Some people come with a single concern, while others follow a longer path. After your first session, you will be best placed to sense whether and how you would like to continue.

Who is this work not suitable for?

If you are experiencing an acute mental health crisis, please seek professional support first – this work is not appropriate in that situation. If you are currently receiving medical or psychotherapeutic treatment, continue it unchanged and, if in doubt, speak with your practitioner beforehand. If you clearly sense that you do not want to engage with this process, that is also a good reason to wait.

Is this Shaktipat?

There are parallels. In certain yogic traditions, Shaktipat refers to a spiritual initiation in which the transmission of Shakti is intended to awaken a person’s inner spiritual power.

My work emerged through my own inner journey. During a session, I place my hands on the body, step back inwardly, and follow the impulses that arise. I often witness intense physical and emotional processes. I describe this approach as Divine Energy Work without assigning it to any particular tradition.

Do I need to prepare for the session – and what helps afterwards?

You will find guidance on preparing for your session and the time afterwards on the “Your Session” page.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, if that helps you feel safe. One thing to consider: a session gives you space to open up emotionally and express yourself, so choose someone with whom you feel completely free, without feeling watched or judged. Otherwise, their presence may hold you back rather than support you.

Do you also work with children and teenagers?

I do not work with children. Teenagers are welcome; for anyone under 18, this must be arranged with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Do you offer remote sessions?

I offer this work in person only. It takes place through the laying on of hands, and that is precisely where its depth lies.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment online using the link in your confirmation email. Changes are free of charge up to 48 hours beforehand. After that, 50 % of the fee is charged; exceptions are, of course, made in cases of illness. Please cancel or reschedule in good time, as otherwise the appointment cannot be offered to someone else who may be waiting.
